Finally a plein air painting that I did on July 26th, 2016, along a trail above Lake Mohonk. This was done during a heat wave, so I found a spot in the middle of the trail on a rock that was cool. Unfortunately my can of soda (caffeine and sugar were necessary that morning!) was invaded by a bunch of ants, which I discovered prior to drinking, but also discovered that they were also crawling all over me…
This is about an 8 x 12″.
This is one of many from my “berry pint” series. It is a 14 x 21″. In this one I worked from a photo that I took at a farmer’s market. In case you didn’t think I liked to challenge myself, this is a reminder that I like complexities and details, after all. Love this one. NA
Inspired by a trip to the farm market, it was difficult to decide whether to paint peaches or to bake pie ! Either way it would be a labor of love, and painting won out. This is an 8.5 x 11.5 watercolor. NA
